About Vesugen 20mg
Vesugen is a tripeptide (Lys-Glu-Asp / KED) targeting vascular endothelium — the single-cell layer lining blood vessels that governs vascular permeability, tone, coagulation, and inflammatory signaling. Endothelial dysfunction is an early marker of cardiovascular disease and a central feature of vascular aging: reduced eNOS activity, increased inflammatory adhesion molecule expression, impaired vasodilation. These changes precede overt cardiovascular disease by years in aging populations.
Vesugen shares its KED sequence with Ovagen (ovarian tissue target). In the Khavinson framework, the same sequence reaching vascular endothelial cells is proposed to interact with a different set of available promoter sites than in ovarian tissue, producing tissue-specific effects through cellular context rather than sequence alone. Published research examines eNOS expression, inflammatory cytokine profiles (VCAM-1, ICAM-1), and age-related changes in vascular endothelial function in preclinical models. As with other Khavinson compounds, most published data comes from the Saint Petersburg Institute.
