Testing Methodology
HPLC Purity Analysis
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography
Separates peptide components to measure purity percentage. Our acceptance criteria: ≥98% main peak purity.
What this tells you: The exact percentage of your target peptide versus impurities, degradation products, and synthesis byproducts.
Mass Spectrometry
ESI-MS / MALDI-TOF
Confirms the molecular weight matches the target peptide sequence. Detects truncations, deletions, and modifications.
What this tells you: Whether the peptide is actually what it claims to be — correct amino acid sequence and molecular identity.
Endotoxin LAL Testing
Limulus Amebocyte Lysate assay
Detects bacterial endotoxins (lipopolysaccharides) that can confound research results, especially in cell-based assays.
What this tells you: Whether the peptide is free from bacterial contamination that could introduce artifacts in sensitive experiments.
Bioburden Testing
Microbial enumeration per USP <61>
Counts total aerobic microbial count (TAMC) and total yeast/mold count (TYMC) to ensure microbiological safety.
What this tells you: The microbial load of the product — critical for any research involving cell cultures or biological systems.
Visual & Lyophilization QC
Manual inspection + moisture analysis
Verifies proper lyophilization (freeze-drying), correct fill weight, intact seal, and absence of discoloration or particulates.
What this tells you: Whether the peptide was properly manufactured, dried, and packaged for maximum stability and shelf life.
