Prostamax is a bioregulatory peptide from the Khavinson series targeting prostatic tissue — prostate epithelial and stromal cell gene expression, with particular relevance to age-related benign prostatic changes and prostate tissue homeostasis. The prostate is among the tissues most affected by aging in men: benign hyperplasia involves both epithelial proliferation and stromal remodeling driven by altered gene expression patterns. Prostamax research examines whether short peptide bioregulation can influence those expression changes at the tissue level.

Within the Khavinson series, prostate-targeting peptides were among the earlier research areas — the clinical prevalence of age-related prostatic changes gave the group clear endpoints to work with.
