What Is Selank?

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of the endogenous immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin, developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Its structure consists of tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) with an added Gly-Pro dipeptide and proline at the C-terminus, which dramatically improves metabolic stability and CNS penetration compared to native tuftsin.
